Political atmosphere ignited ahead of State’s monsoon session
Against the backdrop of Madhya Pradesh Parliamentary Affairs Minister Narottam Mishra’s disqualification by the Election Commission of India (ECI), political atmosphere has ignited in the State ahead of the Assembly’s Monsoon Session commencing on Monday.
Forest Minister Gaurishankar Shejwar, Revenue Minister Umashankar Gupta and Minister of State for Cooperatives Vishwas Sarang on Sunday met Speaker Sitasaran Sharma at his residence and submitted a memorandum alleging that Leader of the Opposition Ajay Singh used undignified language before media in the context of the Session.
It was stated in the memorandum that Singh has threatened to create unruly atmosphere in the House. His statement has caused anxiety and doubts in the minds of members especially in view of the presidential election also being held tomorrow. The three urged the Speaker to discuss the matter with the Opposition Leader.
