Intense cold, fog to continue for next 2 days in Bhopal

Foggy conditions were witnessed for the first time in the season with intense cold conditions in the morning hours which are likely to prevail for the next two days in the capital city.

Met official said that the visibility dipped to around 0.8 km on Saturday morning which was the lowest in the season witnessed in the city. The foggy conditions would prevail but from Saturday shallow fog would be witnessed and Sunday is less likely to witness fog.

City would continue to witness mist and lower temperatures in the next 5-6 days.

On Friday sunlight failed to clear clouds and winds made the harsh weather intense cold. In the afternoon cloudy weather conditions were witnessed and cold conditions prevailed.

Warning of shallow to moderate fog has been issued for Gwalior, Chambal, Rewa, Sagar, Bhopal and Ujjain divisions.

The lowest night temperature was recorded in Mandla and Raisen at 7 degree Celsius.

The city recorded day temperature at 23.3 degree Celsius which was 2 degree Celsius and night temperature at 9.6 degree Celsius.

Indore recorded day temperature at 24.8 degree Celsius which was 2 degree Celsius below the normal temperature and night temperature at 10.8 degree Celsius.  Among the major cities Gwalior witnessed a different pattern and recorded day temperature 4 degree Celsius above the normal temperature at   27.2 degree Celsius and night temperature at 8.7 degree Celsius which was 2 degree Celsius below the normal temperature.

Jabalpur recorded day temperature at 23.2 degree Celsius which was 2 degree Celsius below the normal temperature and night temperature was recorded at 10.4 degree Celsius.
