BJP state president Rakesh Singh to make changes in Nandkumar’s team

Bhopal: The newly-appointed BJP state president Rakesh Singh may announce new office bearers of party state unit soon. Singh may have said that he would continue with the office bearers appointed by his predecessor Nandkumar Singh Chouhan but he might remove some office bearers to make way for new ones in his team.

Those who are going to contest the ensuing Assembly elections are likely to be asked to leave and in their place Singh is mulling to induct the leaders who could be used for the party organisation work. Ranjana Baghel, Sudarshan Gupta, Usha Thakur, Pradeep Laria, Rameshwar Sharma and Ramlal Rautel are the MLAs who are vice presidents of state BJP unit. They are preparing to contest assembly elections scheduled to be held by the end of this year. New people may be given chance in their place.

General secretary Ajay Pratap Singh and secretary Sampatiya Uikey have been sent to the Rajya Sabha. Singh and organisation general secretary Suhas Bhagat had held discussion over announcing of new office bearers. Chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has to make final decision over it. The new team will be announced after Chouhan’s decision.

Nandkumar appointing MPs and MLAs as office bearers in his team had been a major reason behind his failure as state BJP president. These leaders, who were working as public representatives, could not give attention to the works of party organisation and finally the campaigns launched by the party organisation could not be implemented effectively.

A new action plan of the party organisation will be made after the meeting of BJP legislature party on April 26. According to this action plan, changes in media team will be also made. According to sources, there are chances of removal of spokespersons who are not active and they would be replaced by new spokespersons.
